In
the countryside of Amandola , just few kms from the medieval
city a beautiful farmhouse located in a small rural village
in a dominant position with panorama on forests and
surrounding hills.
The
property, on
three floors, includes a completely fenced
garden
of
1530 sq.m. in a plot of land of 6.000 sq.m and three
outbuildings.
Close to the property an enchanting 16th
Century church.
Just below the Sibillini mountains, the church was one of
the most important religious centres in the Amandola area
for almost three hundred years. It was founded by the
Cappuccini monks around
1500 though the first documentary evidence of its existence
is dated 1580.
It is a classic example of the architectural style of the
order.
Inside the beautiful chapel, behind the altar, there is an
unusual niche dug in the rock where the visitors can see the
Virgin Mary statue |
